Jazzffluenza was formed in 2014 by bassist Edward Plant as his vehicle for bringing to Baltimore audiences the diverse and dynamic repertoire of jazz music that he has always personally enjoyed. The band's most recent lineup features a collaboration with Baltimore piano legend Phil Heiliger to make this the most rewarding project of his decades long career. Timothy Ghiz on drums provides the punch while the consummate two-who-play-as-one horn duo of Eric Heavner and Steve LoGrande on trumpet and sax create the gracefully haunting melodies. Jazzffluenza is a true labor of love as these five top musicians with nearly 150 years combined experience in the Baltimore jazz scene bring their love for the art form to every performance, expressing the music with equal parts passion and skill.

His playing style pays homage to Bebop and Post-Bop traditions but pushes outside conventional boundaries, incorporating elements such as distortion and other effects into his sound.
